Azur Frost Petrol, Blue

Azur Frost Petrol blue, by Bertil Vallien, is part of the Kosta Boda Artist Collection. This object in petroleum blue is cast in a graphite mold at Kosta Glassworks.

This striking teal glass frame transforms a familiar object into a piece of art. Its substantial, translucent glass construction features deep emerald-toned edges, a luminous turquoise center, and a sculpted face that appears to emerge from within the glass. Subtle bubbles and organic textures add depth and character, allowing light to play across its surface and reveal new details from different angles.

Why You’ll Love It

• More than a traditional frame, it doubles as a sculptural accent that brings personality to a shelf, console, or bedside table.

• The rich teal hue introduces a vibrant yet sophisticated accent to neutral interiors, while complementing other jewel tones.

• The surreal, contemplative face creates an intriguing focal point and a natural conversation starter.
