About the Product
The Miracle Empty Pocket Tray has a warm wood-toned raised rim surrounding a black-and-white illustrated surface. Its most striking feature is the bold Greek key/meander border, which runs continuously around the perimeter and creates a strong geometric frame.
Inside the border is an eclectic collection of finely rendered imagery: a globe, hourglass, keyhole, horse, compass, fruit, plant, small animals, and other curiosities. The illustrations have the appearance of antique engravings, with fine crosshatching and stippled shading that give the otherwise flat surface considerable visual texture.
Why you'll love it
- The more you examine it, the more objects you discover—the keyhole, hourglass, globe, horse, compass, fruit, animals. It has a sense of visual mystery.
- The imagery evokes a cabinet of curiosities: intellectual, eccentric, slightly theatrical. It suggests someone who enjoys objects with stories.
